Once upon a time, there was a little girl.
She grew up in a very restrictive home and culture, where the women are seen to serve the men, and men are considered as the authority. And the authority’s voice? It is the voice of the final decision. No questions asked.
She doesn’t like to talk much. Oh, but when she does, it is full of life.
She is full of curiosity, wanting to learn as much as she wants.
She loves reading books, bringing home 3 pocketbooks from the school’s library, on a school weekday.
She loves glow in the dark stickers. She would put a few ones on her bedroom ceiling and just stare at it at night.
She hopes to be an astronaut, because she thinks floating in space is cool.
Then life happened, and that little girl decided to stay in the dark.
The world was too harsh on her.
She decided to hide her light.
That little girl, she is me.
Fast forward to when my spiritual awakening happened a.k.a. my 1st Saturn return. It started with a nutrition program and a bunch of random explorations of personal growth tools.Along the way, my path led me to astrology. It took me 3 tries in the course of 2 years before I fully accepted that we are inseparable.
It is through learning & embodying my astrological placements that I am able to slowly and gently bring back that little girl, my light. Astrology has been a huge help in my manifestation and shadow work journey, and especially healing my toxic relationship patterns. It’s something that I want to teach and share to others too, in my own creative way.
This year, I really felt the call to have it done professionally, starting with registering it as a business.
DTI, Mayor’s Permit, BIR. Monthly filing. Quarterly filing. Yearly filing. Taxable income. VAT. Expenses for registering. Uncertainty of profit. Taxes going nowhere. Redundancy of filing of documents. Keeping updated with the tax regulations because there are times new regulations will appear in just a short amount of period. Plus, I also need to consider the future when or if I want to close the business, which is double or even triple the challenge of opening one.
With all the many steps that I need to take, I’m still in the first step: changing my RDO (Revenue District Office) to where I am living & working now. And apparently, my tin number was registered by the old accountant in a city that is 13km away from where I was working and living when I first started working. The changing can take as long as 3 months!
I hang on to my anchor on why I’m doing this:
For my little child, my light, my north node in taurus.
For me, and for the other women out there who are on the same boat.
For the people reading this who are also practicing astrology, and has plans on becoming a professional astrologer, in whatever form it may be for you, I ask you:
What is your purpose in delving into astrology?
What’s stopping you from actually registering it professionally?
Will you allow yourself to seek the aligned support needed to make that calling or dream a reality, into this tangible world?
Will you allow yourself to finally be seen, heard and be known for being an astrologer, in your own unique ways?
I hope you do.
One day, I hope to see one of you in an astrology-related event, or maybe in one of the business or tax workshop that can help us build this dream into reality.
