Astrological Moon

 by Luanne Manlapaz

In general Astrology, so much emphasis has been given to the Sun. Almost everyone in contemporary society has been introduced to Astrology by way of the Sun signs.

For decades upon decades, Sun sign Astrology has taken over in the mainstream with very little regard for the abundant, complex layers of Astrology as a whole.

Yes, our Sun signs hold a wealth of substantial information about how we live or lives. However, too much focus on it has robbed most of us of the opportunity to know our most intimate selves, the part of us that can only be found within the lush realms of the Astrological Moon.

Emotions

Astrologically, the Moon represents receptive, feminine energy, the nurturing energy of the mother. This contrasts with the masculine Sun, representing our main personality, vitality, and identity.

The Moon rules over the emotional expansiveness within each and everyone of us. It is our innate, instinctual nature where we are most comfortable and most vulnerable.

Relationship with mother

The Zodiac sign of the Moon in a person’s birth chart strongly correlates to how the mother is experienced by the chart holder.

Data gathered among Gemini Moon natives indicate a maternal relationship with incessant, fertile communication.

A person with Leo Moon would most probably speak about having a mother with a regal bearing who takes immense pride in her children.

More often than not, when asked to describe their mothers, Leo Moon natives describe a mother with glamorous hair that is well maintained. The Lion is known for its mane, after all!

Mothering style

The Moon sign’s energy also highly determines the chart holder’s parenting style. For example, a high percentage of Sagittarius Moon natives make it a goal for their children to be able to travel and study abroad. With Sagittarius being the sign of the traveler and the scholar, this is not surprising. This is a stark contrast when compared to Cancer Moon natives, the natural sign of the mother. Majority of them share feelings of extreme anxiety upon the thought of their children leaving the nest.

Safe and secure

Knowing the condition of the Natal Moon in a birth chart provides unparalleled insight on the chart holder’s emotional requirements in order to feel fully safe and secure. Its placement also gives valuable information on subconscious cravings that the chart holder may or may not be aware of.

For example, a person with Aries Moon unconsciously needs to master independence and courage in order to feel emotionally fulfilled. Aries is the archetype of the warrior. Being the first sign of the Zodiac, it fiercely represents the birth of the self and the ability to distinguish itself apart from the world around it. To be able to defend the self and to establish its boundaries is the core of the archetype. Thus, Aries Moon natives may find themselves in emotional situations that require a certain degree of crisis, where they may need to defend themselves, more often than others. This reinforces a strong sense of self that allows for the feeling of internal safety and security.

Relationships that click

Since the Moon sign determines what makes the heart feel safe and protected, understanding it will greatly help navigate all kinds of intimate relationships, from romantic relationships to those between friends and, most especially, family.

Moon sign compatibilities hold more weight in associations wherein a great deal of emotion and feelings are exchanged. Being around people with complementary Moon signs tend to elicit a strong sense of kinship and affinity, where you just “get” each other on an emotional level, beyond any words or explanations.

Determining Your Moon

Sign Being the fastest moving “planet” in the sky, the Moon travels through a Zodiac sign every two and a half days. Because of its quick movement and change in its phases (where every phase greatly modifies its interpretation) it’s considered a strong variable in one’s nativity. One’s exact birth date, time and location are needed in order to determine the exact position and condition of the Moon in your birth chart. Simply input the data in any online birth chart calculator. If the exact birth time is not available, search online for an Astrological Ephemeris, a list of planetary positions during a certain period of time. Look for your birth date. If fortune allows for it, the Moon may not have changed signs during your date of birth. For those searching, best of luck!

Francisco Moreno Damagoso's Chart

By Frederick Mallari

Francisco Moreno Domagoso, known professionally as Isko Moreno and more fondly known as Yorme Isko, was born on Oct 24,1974 in Tondo, Manila.

The rags-to-riches story of Domagoso is like a fairy tale story. He was a former scavenger and pedicab driver from the slums of Tondo. Domagoso defeated former Manila Mayors - Former President Joseph Estrada and Alfredo Lim - with a landslide victory of 357,925 votes - more than the numbers of Estrada and Lim combined.

Sun in Scorpio

Scorpio is the sign of extremes. With Domagoso's natal Sun in Scorpio, he tends to be an extremist in everything that he does; he tends to be an all or nothing type of person.

He is very passionate in every cause he believes in, and there is a strong need to be emotionally involved in these causes in order for him to feel fulfilled. Because his actions are passionately and emotionally charged, he can be ruthless in promoting these causes. This ruthlessness makes him stop at nothing until he gets the job done.

Scorpios, being a fixed water sign, are like icebergs; thus, they are very firm and have very strong will-power, to the point of stubbornness, which in Domagoso's case, translates to strong political will.

Domagoso is a person who always wants to be in control; always alert for any threat against himself, his family, or his position. However, this sense of strong Protective instinct or instinctive mistrust of everything may, at times, have the danger of leading to paranoia.

Mercury in Scorpio; Mercury in Retrograde

Having Domagoso's natal Mercury placed in Scorpio, this shows that he is very intuitive, perceptive, and clever. Moreover, Mercury in retrograde motion, at the time of his birth, indicates that he uses his capacity to think, speak, learn, and reason at the extreme ranges of its expression, which further indicates a dynamic and charismatic spokesperson or a mystic who has turned his thought processes inward.

Mercury in retrograde can also signify the development of these traits later in his life, usually, above and between the ages 30 to 35 years old.

Domagoso's mind is analytical and clear-thinking, it speaks of his high level of intelligence. He has excellent powers of research and investigation, which helps him offer practical solutions to problems. He has a very strong power of concentration that once he decides on what to do, he is able to stick to it. Furthermore, his natural sense of suspicion does not allow him to accept things just on hearsay; he prefers to investigate and find out the truth for himself.

He follows his instincts and beliefs with great dedication, but few will really know what he is up to as he likes to keep his motivations a secret. However, he will only reveal these things to a select person/s if he is sure that his trust would not be violated. And once betrayed, his mind turns into vindictive thoughts and grudges that can tend to be kept for a very long time, which can be very destructive to himself and to others. It is also hard to regain his trust once betrayed.

On the other hand, if he feels grateful towards anybody, his appreciation is endless and something that he will honor for the rest of his life. We can look at the case of his relationship with Danny Lacuna, former Vice-Mayor of the City of Manila, which he considers as his mentor and second father, guiding Domagoso during the tough times when he was a City Councilor of Manila. He exclaims that the hand sign he does pays tribute to Lacuna, due to old age, now suffers from some physical disabilities; however, Lacuna made the effort of making the hand sign gesture during his proclamation as the City Mayor of Manila.

During his earlier years as City Councilor, merely a high school graduate that time and can barely speak in English (English being the official language of the city council's hearings), certain colleagues looked down at him; he was bullied, undermined and laughed upon during committee and plenary hearings. He was humiliated during public hearings because of his lack of skill in debating and communications. Although eager to participate in the deliberations, he usually failed to do so. He was taunted to just go back to his showbiz career because there is no way he can keep up with his contemporaries in the council.

Nevertheless, Lacuna saw something in him and mentored Domagoso. Lacuna urged him to study as he labored in the council and gain the knowledge that he failed to gain because of his impoverished life. He obtained his business administration degree from the Makati-based International Academy of Management and Economics. The young councilor continued to learn, thereafter, he took policy courses at the University of the Philippines, and then law units at Arellano University. He later went to Harvard and Oxford for leadership programs.

Although Domagoso's Mercury is considered combust by the overwhelming energy of the Sun, the usual effects of a combust Mercury do not apply, owing to Mercury being retrograde. This makes Domagoso great in making requests and in communicating his ideas. He thinks things objectively and in a detached manner without taking things too personally when someone has a different point of view and is often very skilled managers and organizers.

Venus in Libra

The most prominent planet in the birth of Domagoso is Venus in Libra, the planet of love, affection, art, and beauty. This shows that appearances are very important to him, both his personal appearance and the appearance of his surroundings. He relies on making a good impression with his charming manner and good clothes. He also has good taste in art and music.

These traits are seen through his tireless efforts in making the City of Manila clean and beautiful with such intense attention to detail that he does not settle for anything less than his gold standard for beauty. He wants to see his surroundings in the crest of beauty as the sight of dirty and ugly surroundings would make him feel sick and cringe. This is the same reason that he aims to restore all the heritage sites, parks and monuments of Manila with great attention to detail as this is indeed a very deep-seated goal that brings him much satisfaction in a level that has never been done before by the past administrations that neglected these sites.

He is attracted to finesse, social position, and financial independence. Vulgarity and coarseness repel him. He is very generous and has the tendency to be too extravagant. He also loves material comforts, those that give him physical ease and well-being, such as good food and accommodations. He loves the finer things in life, luxurious things - clothes, watches, shoes, cars, etc., but not the type that is too loud or too vulgar.

He enjoys the company of his friends and associates, and the latter finds him charming and well-mannered in return. He has the intuition in knowing how to develop the best of relationships with everyone he meets. He has the ability to cooperate with others and create cooperation amongst others as well.

His expectations within a relationship can be very high, and he tends to fall in love with the love that can be easily mistaken for true love.

Emotional and business partnerships are very important to him, and this brings him fulfillment. He seeks harmony in his affairs, that makes him willing to make compromises; to find common ground; and, to satisfy the partner's needs for the sake of harmony within the relationship.

During the earlier stage of his life, his strong desire for financial independence put him at the risk of the displeasure of his parents, he always had a yearning to make a life of his own.

Vico Sotto: Man of the Hour

By Luanne Manlapaz

Pasig City’s beloved mayor Vico Sotto. From Wikipedia.

Truly, it is through times of strife when heroes shine. The current COVID-19 pandemic has separated the wheat from the chaff, politician-wise, and Victor María Regis Nubia Sotto, ‘Vico’, as his country now knows him, is living up to his name.

He is one of the very few who has indeed stood out as a victorious (victor) leader (regis). At 29, he is currently the youngest elected mayor in the metro. His success in the 2019 elections ended the powerful 27-year political dynasty of the Eusebios, in a David-versus-Goliath kind of showdown that was highly sensationalized by the local media.

With minimal political experience prior (he was a first-term city councilor), his contemporaries easily dismissed him as “out of his league.” As proven by recent events, his inexperience most definitely did not equate to incompetence.

One can say that his future in front of an audience is almost fated. Coming from a clan of famed showbiz personalities including both of his parents, Vico’s future seemed to be cut out for him. His father’s longevity in the industry allowed for a “cult-like” following, as many consider him a living legend in Philippine show business.

His mother, at the time of his birth, was a beloved television host/actress. With his uncle also a veteran Senator, there is no denying his proclivity towards leading a very public life. What kind of public life might this be? Let’s do a little investigating. Below is a basic delineation of his Astrological placements, sans birth time.

A curious mind

Born on June 17, 1989 with Mercury and a Sun-Jupiter conjunction in Gemini, Sotto's mind is sharp and alert. With a very strong Mercury in its home sign, the planet of communication, information and intellect, functions at maximum capacity.

When Mercury is in Gemini, there is natural ease in gathering and absorbing information. There is a child-like wonder towards everything it encounters. Also present is a strong compulsion to question everything it finds interesting, not out of malice, but out of sheer curiosity. The need to communicate is heightened as well, as this placement allows for someone who is very skilled in speaking, writing or both.

With the Sun, his main identity, also in Gemini, he is someone who constantly needs mental stimulation. This is a sign that marvels in learning and knowing, just for the sake of knowledge.  Joy is found in understanding details, solving puzzles, and finding solutions.

With Gemini being a mutable sign, this is someone highly adaptable too, being able to adjust well with life and all its changes in shape and form. It is important to note that these traits are doubly magnified due to the Sun’s proximity to Jupiter. Being the largest planet, Jupiter expands everything it touches. This is someone with great confidence in his rational thinking, and his ability to figure things out.

Pisces 2020

Written by Carlota Elauria

This forecast is for your Ascendant sign,
which can be computed at Filipinoastrologer.com

Opportunities
Jupiter and Saturn transiting your 11th House for most of the year should stabilize your workload and stress. They can also bring new friendships into your life but also issues with existing ones. Exploring your networks and your opportunities on the internet could provide positive results.

The Solar Eclipse of Dec. 26, 2019 and  June 21 this year both aspect you favorably, so you are set to have a relatively peaceful year.

The Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter in Aquarius in your 12th House may cause you years of isolation or withdrawal, but also immense potential for creativity and spiritual growth.

Challenges
The second half of the year may bring rough seas for your ship due to Neptune, your modern ruler, retrograding from June 23 to Nov. 29. Thankfully, however, you close the year off with much-needed rest and relief.

Saturn's temporary entry into your 12th House from March 22 to July 2 may magnify your escapist and isolationist tendencies and cause some physical or mental health issues if left unchecked. Cultivating your spirituality and engaging in charitable work may lessen the burden this may place on your psyche.

The Great Conjunction in Aquarius and Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius in Dec. may jointly stress you, as the former may want you to withdraw from society while the latter bestows public exposure and responsibilities.

Aquarius 2020

Written Carlota Elauria

This forecast is for your Ascendant sign,
which can be computed at Filipinoastrologer.com

Opportunities
You start off relatively strong as your modern ruling planet, Uranus, goes direct from Jan. 11 to Aug. 15, providing you freedom and opportunities for friendship and networking.

The emphasis on Capricorn/Saturn energy at the beginning of the year should also give a push to your career, though subtle and hidden in the 12th House. Saturn and Jupiter transiting your 12th House for most of the year may give you escapist tendencies and moments of isolation, though you are likely to find this restful and spiritually rejuvenating. Watching movies and shows, reading books, listening to music, and appreciating art can help you nourish your soul.

Saturn's short entry into your 1st House from March 22 to July 2 will give you the first dose of the real world but also a renewed personal strength. The Great Conjunction occurring on December 22 will be in your 1st House, marking the significant beginning of a 20-year personal goal.

Challenges
While the opening of the New Year will bring some new career opportunities for you, you may personally feel detached from this or too lethargic to put much effort into it.

The retrograde period of Uranus from August 15 onward may bring feelings of restriction or stagnation. Your efforts to reach out to friends, mingle with groups, or explore innovation and technology may not be as fruitful as usual.

Capricorn 2020

Written by Carlota Elauria

This forecast is for your Ascendant sign,
which can be computed at Filipinoastrologer.com

Opportunities
This is a big year for you. A Solar Eclipse in Capricorn on Dec. 26, 2019 has set you off to a busy start of 2020 with regard to your career and life goals, working you up to peak professional progress and productivity towards May 2020 as Jupiter and Saturn go retrograde.

You are in your top "game mode" as a professional for the first four months of the year, and unlikely to be bothered with issues regarding your home and personal life. Since Jupiter and Saturn both transit an angular house in your chart, a notable career change or milestone is possible in 2020.

Challenges
Saturn and Jupiter retrograde from May 2020 to Sept. 2020 should give you a relatively slow period regarding your career and life goals, particularly from July to Sept.

You may have to prioritize personal matters during this period or suffer some delays or blows to your professional life.

Saturn's temporary exit from your sign on March 22 to July 2 as it enters the sign of Aquarius will take some pressure off your shoulders but may also reduce success.

Sagittarius 2020

Written by Carlota Elauria

This forecast is for your Ascendant sign,
which can be computed at Filipinoastrologer.com

Opportunities
You will have everything you need for most of the year to accomplish your career goals, due to generous Jupiter transiting your 2nd House of resources. You will be relatively successful as Jupiter and Saturn likely make a trine with your Midheaven, but you may start feeling your personal success begin to reduce this year.

Hang on until the end of the year when a Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius on Dec. 15 empowers you for a couple of months more.

The Great Conjunction occurring in your 3rd House of Aquarius on Dec. 22 can spark a great beginning regarding your credentials, your business, your siblings, or your neighborhood, that will have long-term effects.

Challenges
This is going to be a challenging year for you, but you may stand to gain some stable career success. With the heavy emphasis on Saturnian energy for most of the year, you may be compelled to be more responsible than you usually are.

Jupiter transiting your 2nd House and Saturn transiting your 2nd and 3rd Houses are both going to force you to keep a lower profile as you direct your efforts to your life's stability, your resources, and/or your responsibilities as a provider.

A Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius on June 6 may test your vitality and personal strength for the months after, but if you manage it well, you can stand to gain much self-growth and complete a personal goal.

Scorpio 2020

This forecast is for your Ascendant sign,
which can be computed at Filipinoastrologer.com

Opportunities
The middle of the year, particularly from May to Sept., can help you catch a break from all the mentally-draining tasks you have to accomplish this year, as Saturn and Jupiter both go retrograde and a Solar Eclipse in Cancer takes over in June 21.

You'll be able to take care of other matters you may have neglected, such as your health, your family, your home, and personal life.

The Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter occurring in your 4th House of Aquarius on Dec. 22 will launch a significant change in your home and family that will last a long time. You may possibly begin a major foundational move in your career that has far-reaching effects.

As the Solar Eclipses of Capricorn (Dec. 2019) and Cancer (June 21, 2020) are both harmonious with your sign, you are unlikely to experience stressful changes in your life, except perhaps for Saturn's brief ingress into Aquarius, as will be discussed below.

Challenges
January is posed to be career opportunity or milestone in your life goals. This may be a busy opportunity needing much mental stimulation and/or communication, studying, short trips and documents. You may have to handle a lot of paperwork and liaisons for this one.

As stated above, you'll catch a break from all the busy-ness around May when Saturn and Jupiter go retrograde.

Saturn's temporary ingress into your 4th House of Aquarius from March 22 to July 2 may make you more emotional than usual and feeling not as successful as you may want to be. Your home and family responsibilities may increase during this time. Health concerns may start wearing you down, forcing you to take better care and control of your body. A general air of apathy, detachment, or depression may occur during this time.

Libra 2020

Written by Carlota Elauria

This forecast is for your Ascendant sign,
which can be computed at Filipinoastrologer.com.

Opportunities
The first part of the year finds you busy and hardworking, due to Saturn, Pluto, Jupiter and the Solar Eclipse of Dec. 2019 all in Capricorn.

You are set to have your first taste of being out in the public eye as Saturn transits your 5th House from March 22 to July 2, when you are likely to feel like a new dawn has come into your life and start putting effort on your physical appearance and self-presentation.

The Great Conjunction on Dec. 22 in your 5th House may spark a significant beginning in the areas of romance, children, self-expression, hobbies, creativity, and happiness that will last a long time.

Mars going retrograde from Sept. 10 to Nov. 14 can give you some room for social maneuvering without much risk for personal confrontations.

Challenges
This may be a rather difficult year for you but one with potential for tremendous growth. Jupiter and Saturn are both transiting your 4th House, marking this year as one where you set a long-term foundation.

You may experience a sort of "zeroing out" of all areas of your life as the Universe clears them out and sets them up for new energies.

A major career change is possible, especially in the beginning of the year (Jan.-March) or the middle (June-July). The changes brought by this energy can be challenging to handle, but highly significant for years or decades to come.

Venus retrograde from May 13 to June 25 can test your relationships and social interactions. Try not to overindulge or overspend during this time.

My current take on the COVID-19 Astrology

Written by Lots Elauria (AstroreaderPh)

(NOTE: Only for those interested and unafraid. It is never my intention to spread fear through this page, only knowledge. Sometimes knowledge is not very comforting, so we must steel ourselves and focus on the good. And that is my request from you in reading this…to not let fear take over and maintain hope and courage amidst the things to come. In times like this, it is critical to maintain a high vibration, to become a beacon of Light than to curse the darkness. Soldier on. We are eternal Souls wrapped in suits of flesh, and there is NOTHING TO FEAR.)
I’ve discussed the general overview of the 2020 crises on this page. As mentioned, this is a highly-pressurized year filled with many trials and catalysts for growth. There is much reason to believe that what has culturally been referred to as the ‘End Times’ or the ‘Great Tribulation’ is occurring now, to separate the ‘wheat from the chaff’ of sorts. On an energetic level, the earthly realm is making a grand transition this year from one ‘world’ to another, causing many intense events that can cause alarm or panic in some. When the Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter occurs in Aquarius in December, the world will then begin to settle down into the new changes. Or rather, settle ‘up’ into a ‘higher’ realm. May we all, as a collective, choose the Positive path of Love and Light.
There is much occurring and about to occur. However, the scale of the COVID-19 pandemic somehow deserves astrological threshing out of its own.
As previously posted, it is my astrological opinion that this pandemic (along with its consequences) will accelerate toward the end of March, and will sustain its strength until it culminates or concludes at around mid-May. It will then spend the next few months weakening until it stabilizes at around June to July.
The very recent Mercury retrograde period in Pisces of 17 February to 05 March has shielded most from the truth about its extent, but now that Mercury has gone direct (in Aquarius), its real scope has begun to come out of the open. Many are no longer content believing lies from authorities or the media and want to find out the truth for themselves through contacts from social media or other non-traditional websites and sources.
In fact, this week (until 15 March) will be an excellent time to educate oneself about this pandemic and make the necessary preparations and arrangements, with Mercury preparing to leave the logical sign of Aquarius. Any technological, rational, or scientific solutions one needs to execute must be done in this period. Once Mercury enters the confusing and muddled sign of Pisces next week (16 March), confusion will once again befall us, and the pandemic shall begin to take over full-force. Our medical personnel and facilities will be severely tested and we may be unable to contain the pandemic any longer. That is the time when international commerce, transport, and communications begin to slow down (some may completely stop) and it will be difficult to get things done by then.
From the opening of the Spring Equinox (20-21 March), events will begin to move dramatically. Saturn in the critical 29th degree will coincide with Mars, Jupiter, and Pluto conjunct in Capricorn. The Sun moves into the intense Zero Aries point. A New Moon in Aries will square the Nodal Axis. These are highly volatile astrological energies, and combined with the current state of the world, may cause events like natural disasters, war, recessions, or other calamities carrying out until early April. Truly, things will start getting heated when lockdowns, disasters, recessions, and other problems plague our land. In this period, we must remain strong and courageous. Focus on internal rather than external strength, especially the strength of body and spirit (Aries). We may have to contend with much testing of our earthly suit at this time. When the pandemic can no longer be contained, after all, it then becomes a battle of treatment and recovery. How independent is your Self (Aries)?
In this time, we will also start to see the fall of many oppressors, as Saturn leaves Capricorn and conjoins with Mars in Aquarius. When the government, the parents, the institutions, the economic system, the religions, our leaders and our bosses do not serve us at our greatest need, what is their use to us? We may feel anger at their negligence, or defiance at their inadequate leadership. The good of the government (Capricorn) must then give way to the welfare of the people in general (Aquarius). In doing so, many of us may feel angry towards, fight against, or confront (Aries/Mars) corrupt and abusive authorities (Capricorn/Saturn). We may decide, as collective humanity, to put things in our hands (Aquarius). This may spark rise of anarchist behavior that will explode in the coming years.
These stressful energies will be sustained by the season of persevering, fixed Taurus (21 April-22 May). Taurus is all about money and resources, and those may be of prime focus during those days, particularly the need or lack of it. As lockdowns and supply shortages cripple our economy, we may find ourselves beginning to experience shortages in our basic necessities (Taurus). Particularly, the mid-May period will test our capability of handling money and resources, as Venus, Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn turn retrograde one after another. We may be forced to satisfy ourselves with stocks already at hand or depend on other people’s generosity (Venus Retrograde). This may be a period of shady dealings as well, as scrupulous traders take advantage of the social difficulties of the time. Be wary of falling for offers that are too good to be true, such as fake surgical masks or alcohol. Friendships and groups will be tested, due to the collective suffering (Saturn and Mars in Aquarius), but those that have strong bonds will remain standing.
This will be one of the last surges of the economic and social fallout caused by the pandemic. When Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto go retrograde towards mid- to late-May, they weaken, along with their effects. We will have a temporary reprieve from the difficulty, a denouement of sorts from the climax of the Event. Late May to early June, the time of Gemini, will be a wrapping up of the powerful situations that have occurred in past months. There will be talk of solutions and ways and means to combat the changes that have occurred, and business will start moving again somehow, hanging by a thread (Gemini). We must get a way to get things done somehow at this time.
Come late June, we will be dealing with salvaging what is left of society, our nations, our homes, our families, and our health. A Solar Eclipse in Cancer on 21 June marks the beginning of our healing process. We will wake up to reality, and roll up our sleeves as Neptune goes retrograde. At or about this period, six planets are retrograde (Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto), which indicates a period of extreme internal testing. Much of the world will be halted at this point, taking things slowly and rebuilding. Many will be working from home or with family. While relatively uneventful in the external/physical realm, we will be dealing with many internal or psychological issues at this time. Thankfully, the demands of our external lives (careers, jobs, professions, responsibilities, businesses, etc.) would not be as high as before, allowing us the space to contend with these matters.
Governments, institutions, authorities, parents, bosses, and leaders will also begin to readjust themselves in order to accommodate the new needs of the people. They will be compelled to do this or risk public outcry or dethronement. Those that do not succumb will be removed from power, or face public consequences, especially as Saturn and Jupiter turn direct in Capricorn from September to October. There will be many high-profile stepping-downs this year, giving way to younger, more visionary types who are more accommodating to the needs of the collective instead of merely focusing on maintaining their power.
On 30 November, a Solar Eclipse occurs in Sagittarius for the first time in years, which may be the impetus for a serious move in favor of a cure or treatment for the virus. This will have to involve serious critical thinking in the fields of science and technology, which is perhaps why, finally, as Saturn and Jupiter leave Capricorn and enter Aquarius in December 2020, our New World settles down on a foundation of new technology, science, and networks. From this point forward, for the next one or two decades, much will progress in these fields. Truths will also be revealed as to concepts that have been hidden from us for a long time, particularly in religion, philosophy, extraterrestrial life, the occult, and the true rulers of this world. Old ways of thinking based on mere belief will have little place in this new society.
As such, there is no need to fear, as everything that is meant to happen will happen under the Will of the Divine One who takes care of All That Is. May humanity survive the tests of the Infinite, individually and collectively. Choose the Light.

This forecast is for your Ascendant sign,
which can be computed at Filipinoastrologer.com

Opportunities
You start off the year at full speed. Jupiter's entry into your 5th House of self-expression will feel like the dawn after a long night, countering the effects of the somber transit of Saturn in your 5th house.

As such, it is bound to be a year filled with stable happiness for you regardless of whatever else is going on. Your career is likely to be secure and joyful this year, and you may have to attend more parties or events related to work.

The Great Conjunction on Dec. 22 in Aquarius in your 6th House may mark a major beginning in your life in the fields of health, work, and pets that will last a long time.

Challenges
Jupiter retrograde in your 5th House from May 14 to Sept. 13 may momentarily take away some happy feelings, but you'll also meet new people to network with, particularly around the June 21 Solar Eclipse in Cancer period.

Mercury retrograde periods could present challenges to you through process delays, miscommunications, transportation and documentation problems, and the like. Watch out for the periods of Feb. 17 to March 10, June 18 to July 12, and Oct. 14 to Nov. 4.

Opportunities
You are set to have a new career opportunity or milestone at the opening of the year as the Solar Eclipse in Capricorn on Dec. 26, 2019, works with Saturn, Jupiter, and Pluto direct in Capricorn to launch significant career beginnings.

In your 6th House of work and health, this could indicate a new job, health concern or fitness regimen. It is an excellent time to maximize efficiency and let go of unhealthy habits.

The Great Conjunction in Aquarius on Dec. 22 occurs in your 7th House of partnerships, so a significant event in your love life or marriage that has far-reaching consequences into the future may occur towards the end of the year. Engagement, separation, or marriage, perhaps? This could also manifest as a great change in your close friendships or business partnerships.

Challenges
You are likely one of the busiest ones this year, as Jupiter in the 6th House blows up your workload. This should ease up a little when it goes retrograde with Saturn in May to September 2020.

Saturn's short entry into Aquarius from March 22 to July 2 may give you a taste of heavier relationship pressures or responsibilities, or, if you are single, loneliness.

The Solar Eclipse in Cancer on June 21 occurring in your 12th House may cause four or five months of relative scatteredness and confusion, but also immense spiritual growth. Watch out for bad habits creeping in once more during this time. Music, movies, fiction, esoteric studies, art, and other spiritual pursuits, however, will help nourish your soul.

Opportunities
The mid-year will have a Solar Eclipse on June 21 occurring in your sign. It will launch a journey of emotional growth, lasting about four to five months, though it may be at the cost of relationships that no longer benefit you.

You'll introspect and focus on your personal life, your family and close circle, perhaps momentarily withdrawing from the public eye.

Saturn and Jupiter both transiting your 7th House for most of the year should bring you more opportunities to work on your relationship, and a major career and/or life change.

The Great Conjunction on Dec. 22 in Aquarius in your 8th House may begin a highly transformative journey into the fields of the occult, psychology, sex, debt, power, or luxury, that will last many years.

Challenges
The opening of the year may not be so pleasant for you due to the immense Capricorn energy brought about by Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter direct in Capricorn, plus a Solar Eclipse on Dec. 26, 2019 in the same sign.

These energies should compel you to put efforts in pursuit of your career, public life, reputation and responsibilities that you otherwise would have preferred to invest in more fulfilling pursuits.

These energies shall ease around May, and most especially towards July. As Saturn and Pluto go direct in Capricorn, your opposite sign, in Sept. 2020, you may again start feeling the pressure in your career and responsibilities, but only until December.

Opportunities
You will get your first taste of relief this year after a difficult Saturn 8th House period, through its temporary ingress into your 9th House from March 22 to July 2.

Jupiter's transit in Capricorn in your 8th House for most of the year should alleviate any difficulties you may have had the past year with external forces, lack of support, debt, or psychological issues, but be careful of becoming overly optimistic in accumulating debt or other personal entanglements.

The Solar Eclipse in Cancer on June 21 in your 2nd House of finances will bestow upon you four to five months of relative financial stability, as long as you keep your expenses under control.

The Great Conjunction on Dec. 22 occurs in Aquarius in your 9th House, launching a new change or foundation in knowledge, religion, philosophy or ideology that has long-term effects.

Challenges
The Mercury retrograde periods could cause difficulties for you in the form of miscommunications, process delays, transportation and documentation problems, and overall judgment errors.

This year's three Mercury retrogrades occur on Feb. 17 to March 10, June 18 to July 12, and Oct. 14 to Nov. 4.

A Solar Eclipse in Sagittarius on Dec. 15, as well as Jupiter and Saturn's ingress into your 9th House in the same month, may cause you some difficulties in the following couple of months due to differences in ideologies or beliefs.

Opportunities

You're one of the lucky ones this year, with the planets of luck and success, Jupiter and Saturn, both climbing towards the top of your chart throughout 2020.

A Solar Eclipse on Dec. 26, 2019 in Capricorn in your 9th House gave you a new career opportunity involving travel, dealings with foreigners, the academe, or ideologies. Jupiter in the 9th House and Saturn in the 9th and 10th Houses will give you major boosts in the areas of study and career.

December 22's Great Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter will occur in your 10th House, giving you a huge foundation in your career, reputation, status, and life goals that will last for around 20 years.

Challenges

You may feel as if the sky's the limit for most of this year, except from March 22 to July 2, when you experience your first real taste of politics and/or bureaucracy at your workplace due to Saturn's ingress into your 10th House.

The retrograde of Venus from May 13 to June 25 may add a bad taste in your mouth due to issues regarding romance and finances.

Like everyone else, the months of July and September may be a bit stagnant for your career and cause you to place more focus on personal life and home. These are, however, temporary, as you are set to have a fairly successful year.

Opportunities
You start strong this year with most of the planets above the horizon in your chart. A Solar Eclipse in Capricorn on Dec. 26, 2019 marked the start of an all-new career opportunity in your life that steadily progresses until around May 2020, when Jupiter goes retrograde in your 10th House and Saturn in Aquarius goes retrograde in your 11th House.

The months leading up to your birthday will be busy and eventful, with little time to focus on your private or emotional side. Jupiter in your 10th House for most of the year gives you immense focus on your career, added opportunities and growth, but can also give you the tendency to take on too much responsibility.

The Great Conjunction on Dec. 22 occurs in Aquarius in your 11th House, launching a major beginning in the fields of friendships, networking, organizations, groups, technology, and the Internet.

Challenges
May to Sept. 2020 should feel somewhat slow and stagnant with your career and life goals due to the Saturn and Jupiter retrogrades.

The Solar Eclipse in Cancer on June 21 may compel you to take a lower profile and reduce your career success for the next four to five months, but will allow you more time to focus on your family, home, and personal life.

The Mars retrograde from Sept. 10 to Nov. 14 in Aries in your 1st House may hinder your strong drive and force you to hold back your temper or aggression.
